    Not surprised its a great pub. I was there yesterday for a fantastic carvery. I was with a party of 10. The back room was full.

    That's the where that i saw tek-monkey in the Today I Saw.. thread.

    So, to be clear, you're saying that in the same week that @tek-monkey & I were both drinking in the Bird, it had it's best trading week?

    Nah, I think you will find it was a few nights before when @tek-monkey and @andreasrex sat at my table and we significantly increased the takings :)

    Hang on, is there a common theme here?

    A couple of us paid a visit here last night, we had to leave as the stench of fart gas ( as my mate put it) or eggs was just horrific.

    Same smell the vine had a couple of years ago when they had problems with the drains. Not nice

    It's been like that since the snow and it is absolutely awful to be honest.

    The bar area was just about bearable but only just.

    Hope they fix it soon.
