The truth the whole truth

I see the developer coning off outside so you can see the shiny advertising hoarding causing parking on kerbs and misery to its neighbours by inconsiderate parking by contractors , use the common like others have to park ! As if our roads are not congested enough

Are you talking about the Eccleshall Road? Those contractors will cause significantly less carnage to traffic via their parking than the twice daily dose of inconsiderate parents as they used to dump there little darlings off and collect from the school. Eccleshall Road is quite wide enough for people to park safely if they are considerate, and it might actually slow the w*nkers down who use it as a warm up road before the motorway, completely oblivious to the THIRTY mile per hour speed limit that is there to protect the local residents.I regularly see vehicles drivin along there at 60/70 + miles per hour. Park as many cars as necessary imo if it slows them sorts down!!!

At the moment we have a nice view across the marshes which will soon be obscured by a great big horrible slab of a building.

They now want to start working at 7am instead of 8am which I thought was too early in a residential area, I work late and even nights sometimes and am regularly woken up by the noise and the whole house shaking from some pile driving they are doing.

Where's 7am come from? Newsletter notice doesn't give time, but trucks have been blocking traffic before 8am on Eccleshall rd for months. HGVs reversing along a busy main road, in the dark. A real boon for safety, Stafford style.

We have recently received a notice that they want to change the original planning application.

When I went on the SBC planning web site to see what they wanted to change I couldn't find the info at all, the web site is appalling!

One of our neighbours has spoken to the Planning Department and they told her that they want to work from 7am-7pm!

They want to vary a planning condition. This is known as a s73 application. The original application doesn't change only the conditions of its approval - if this application is approved.

So after two weeks they let us into the secret. The developer wants to extend working hours because it's in the interests of the public to find the road blocked by HGVs at 7am instead of 8am. Santa's special Xmas cards in brown envelopes dropping through the letterbox soon.

When I went past at about twoish today, it was a bit chaotic with vans abandoned on the footpath and an artic unloading across the road.

When driving into town early morning the sun can be right in your eyes. Accidents inevitable if there are vehicles stuck all over the place.
