No, nothing wrong with accents and I am proud of mine. Are you alone in your snobbery? Probably not, but it is something society could do without.Does anyone hate that Brummy twang, or a thick Brummy accent? It's one of the main reasons that I haven't relocated as of yet., I don't think I could cope with it on a daily basis. Am I alone?

@Wendywu I sincerely hope you never end up in the hospital where I work. (St. Georges) We have nurses that live in Birmingham and the surrounding areas. We also have people that come from the Potteries, how do you feel about that accent. No, nothing wrong with accents and I am proud of mine. Are you alone in your snobbery? I can't stand the scouse accent, or is it just scousers I can't stand?

Erm! People who live / work in glass houses really really shouldn't throw stones!I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone. I can see some people are upset by this thread. And to be honest, I wouldn't want to end up in a Staffordshire hospital ( given the reputation) oh here we go again. Sorry but ii couldn't resist
Looks like I've upset the whole of Staffordshire. I'm terribly sorry for any offence. I'm only having a bit of banter with you. I shall leave now with my tail between my legs.
I love regional accent, be it local to Stafford, Geordie, Summerzet etc. Top accent for me is listening to a Scotsman.I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone.
