Computer says walk to South Walls (by Primani) and get on a H bus to the hospital.

I think there are other buses from the station that will take you to South Walls as well but watch out for paying for two fares.

I'll investigate more when I'm back in Stafford.

I myself got off the bus by the Gatehouse, when I asked the driver if I could get on the bus here to go to the hospital he say NO, Then I said can I get on the bus to go to the hospital from back of old M&S he say NO again. SOOOOOO! I have to get from Station to catch the H bus bus stop at "South Walls" me no see a bus stop there? I am now ringing Complaints at Arrive but i am number 12 in the queue surprise surprise so am really peed of now I will just go to back of M&S and ask where the bloody bus stop is!!!!

Enjoying a drop of red.
There is a bus stop at Riverside level with the side of Primark. Could be that.

Also there's one slightly to the left on the opposite side to Costa.

The South Walls bus stop is actually the Cope Street stop i.e.the other side of the road to Costa according to the Arriva map.

Still can't find a bus from the station to there though.

Next experiment is to find the taxi fare from the Station(S) to Scaffoldshire Place(SP)

- let's call that x.

Then we add the bus fare from SP to Hospital(H)

- let's call that f.

So, were we to take a taxi from S to SP, then the bus from SP to H

- that would be x + f

Now we need to know whether x + f is > or < £6.70.

And perhaps more importantly, is x + f considerably < £6.70 to make the extra step worthwhile?

Then we can add in other factors

We need to know whether f alone is a significant factor to make the walk from S to SP, to rule '+ x ' out of the equation, a financially tempting option.

One thing we can conclude from this is that Arriva don't give a shit, and SCC has no mechanism to impose any kind of integrated transport solution to this disconnect whatsoever, because that's the beauty of deregulation.

Whilst on a maths theme another thing to conclude is that neither are any good at calculus because they've both crap at integration.
