I have much greater issues with killing animals for fun than food. I've been inside an abattoir yet still eat meat, if I saw someone kick a dog I'd have no issue sticking a bottle through their face. The idea of getting off on causing harm makes me want to cause harm (and possibly get off on it).

Aah, once again your tolerant, balanced and thoughtful input has arrived. "Spineless Do-gooders" so now even those amongst our society who are not "Do-badders" are fair game for your vitriolic wrath......

I'm not sorry that I am less tolerant of those who chose to make the lives of others, including animals, worse. I hope you're never the victim of a serious crime, Basil, as I feel you may find yourself in a moral bind.

Just incase you don't have Facebook, the post was posted by Rugeley Cats Society, & I believe he/she is in custody at Pool House Vets in Lichfield (for some reason I thought he was at a vets in Stafford), you can probably Google the numbers for them.
I wouldn't hold out too much hope*, I believe vets will only keep an stray/unclaimed animal for a short time & only give them very basic treatment if they are ill, (which is funded by the rspca) until they are pts. Its very sad, I'm hoping that someone can tell me that they're really all sent to live with a potty mad-cat-lady instead of being pts, but I can't see that happening.

*I know this after what happened to Sophie cat.

This elderly gentleman touched the hearts of many people when we shared his found post. He was left abandoned in a carrier in an alley way in Stafford. Thankfully he was found and taken to Pool House Vets in Lichfield. However, nobody came forward for him and he became far too poorly to carry on on this earth without any suffering. The vets decided the kindest thing to do was to let him go to sleep peacefully for one last time surrounded by love.
