Coronavirus.

Actually *am* going to a gig today! It was the right decision not to go to the one last week that had no covid precautions but my folks have had their booster since then and the venue tonight in Bristol DOES have checks so I decided, feck it, I need something to get me through the winter and now is about as safe a moment as there will be for me to do so until next summer, probably.

I'll be hanging at the back and masked (as much as I'll want to rip it off and dive into the pit) but I'm sure I'll enjoy it just as much, with how starved of live music I've been! Late 2019 was my last gig, but tonight I'll be seeing the brilliant Don Broco:

So yeah, off to Bristol in a bit.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Enjoy yourself buddy! You can always double mask or use FFP2 masks for added personal protection. :slayer:

Well that's cheered me up. I'm just about to set off to Westward Ho! for my booster.:P
Well, if its any consolation, I didn't follow the minime's instructions of 'windmill your arm for a bit every half hour, it stops it hurting'.... So probably my own fault. 😭

This one was Pfizer, the last 2 were AZ.

Fingers crossed for yours!

I was perfectly fine after my Pfizer Booster. Just a bit of an achy arm which started the next day , but only lasted about a day. (I had Pfizer for my first 2 jabs as well)

Hubby had Astra Zeneca for his first 2 jabs, which knocked him about for a few days . But he was perfectly fine after his Pfizer booster, not even an aching arm.

Hope you don't get much reaction @BobClay . Worth a few days discomfort if you get it though to get that extra protection!

My initial jabcinations were Astra Zeneca. First one knocked me about a bit, second one not so bad. Had a Pfizer booster on Sunday and was laid low Monday & Tuesday.

Man, gig last night was immense. I absolutely promise you that I INTENDED to hang back on the outskirts but I bumped into the lead singer of the band I was seeing earlier in the day which got me hyped up and, before I knew it, I was on the barrier. I did keep my mask on for the entire gig though, which I wasn't sure was doable but I managed it (and it's a well-fitted one as well with a proper filter insert). Started to have a minor freak out this morning about the fact I was in such a big crowd last night but I definitely needed that.

Now I'm just going to test every day and avoid the parents for a week or two.

Glad you enjoyed it. I had a similar excited feeling after @tek-monkey and a few other friends went to the Stereophonics at Scarborough earlier in the year.

Did they do any COVID tests before you went in?

The last two Manics gigs at Stoke and Leeds they didn't and at Stereophonics anyone could have falsified a test just to get in.

Superbikes and United COVID testing are non existent.

Social distancing seems to be so last year to many people so much so that I had to tell one guy to piss off as he kept leaning over my shoulder asking about the team news at United.

I'm also doing regular home tests and more so after I've attended anything with crowds.

Yeah they were doing covid passports or negative tests for entry, though I wasn't very convinced by them. The guy checking mine barely gave the QR code a passing glance so I could have easily gotten in with a faked one.
