I've steered away from medical grade masks as they tend to not be reusable. You are right any covering is adequate even the jumper your waring pulled up over your nose will do. I've gone with a sports mask that will continue to be used well after the pandemic is over.
Son made one from some government instructions (or something like that) at the start of lockdown , using an old t-shirt and didn't even have to sew it. Just cut it and looked quite good actually . Only wore it the once though to go to the petrol station .
He wears disposable masks supplied at work , that they all have to wear all shift, so also has a thing holding the loops together behind his head to make it more comfortable and stop the loops rubbing the ears .

Just on a bus into town and a young lady has just held the bus up whilst trying to find her facemask.

The driver eventually let her on with an HV vest over her face.

It is PPE I suppose but I'm not sure how effective a bright orange HV jacket is!!!

I think my sister is one of them, are they reporting them against date of sample/result?
I honestly don't know. They are clearly allocating positive tests to a particular date because, sometimes, earlier days get changed. But that could still be either the test date or the date the sample was analysed.

How's she managing Tek? x
She's fine, or at least as fine as usual. She never really recovered from the initial bout, but she's not the healthiest of specimens to start with! There is nothing this time round different to her last negative test, no idea if what her lingering issues are came from a previous covid bout or not as couldn't get tested back then but to all intents this time round she has no symptoms.
