I've cycled round there once, decided against it in future! This gives a safe route where we won't get hit by cars that assume they always have priority on the bridges, money well spent in my eyes but yeah it needs extending past the fire station (a path though, not a bridge obvs!)

I suppose the idea is to use Birkdale Drive - which you can get through on a bike (though not in a car) - there is a sneak-through on the bend at the Weston Road end that would lose a bit of the extra distance...

There are what appear to be lampposts along the bridge and causeway part.

The cycle route under the railway from St Leonards to Baswich is only lit, in part, by accident.
