Let's hope he's good at replacing light bulbs too, rumour has it the new floodlights are an open target.

You missed out the final, most important part of that section...So let's get it straight, the council head of leisure is also a director of the rugby club?
Here's what the Constitution says...
7. OUTSIDE COMMITMENTS
7.1
Officers above Scale 6 are expected to devote their whole-time service to the work of the Council and shall not engage in any other business or take up any other additional appointment without the express consent of the Chief Executive.
7.2
Employees should not undertake outside work if their official duties overlap in some way with their proposed work, if it causes a conflict of interest, or if it makes use of material to which the employee has access by virtue of his or her position (for example, an architect or a planner who draws up plans within his or her own authority for an applicant for planning consent). It is irrelevant whether or not the work is paid.
That says part of the land is an SSI, can you build on that?

"Unless he subsequently says sorry".
The consequences of getting caught, apart from the fulsome apology of course, can range from early retirement on full pension, through to early retirement with fifteen years enhancement and a healthy lump some.Of course, it's obviously just a misunderstanding.
Normally you can't even build close to a SSS1, let alone on it, but Stafford is a special case with a desperate need for rugby pitches.
Lords & Top Brass v A bunch of twitchers?
Not one for a pools coupon that one..
Aprons!!! at dawn!!!
Banzai!!!
Is that image accurate John or another of your ramblings? I hadn't realised they were after such a large plot! Surely they can't allow this?! They wont allow Stafford Hockey Club to build an astro pitch on their own land!!

Typical, they've put the wrong plan on the agenda and the wrong ref in the bit about previous 130 house scheme. Number given is for a cattle shelter!
I can't believe any decision is legally binding if details on the planning application are wrong.
