Argos GUS DHL EXEL logistics have been moving staff around its distribution centres for years.

Argos relocated alot pf its office staff to milton Keyes 10 years ago yet have more staff there now than back then

Wouldn't be overly concered yetas the site has had much movement over the years yet has never been vacant.

Wait and see what it is all about or just over sensationalised reporting...again. either the site being occupied and with employment won't be an issue

Sad news and I hope the staff find some positive resolution, however given the journey Argos has been on over the last 6-18 months and having new owners I wouldn't of thought it would of been a massive surprise.....

I would have hoped something so important could have been reported properly - as well as in English!

That's a big place so I'm sure many of us will somebody who has been affected. Sad times.

Sainsburys bought Habitat uk/Argos in September

Habitat exists as a different and seperate company outside the UK

Once Sainsbury's bought Argos this was always going to happen, so it should hardly have come as a shock. Methinks the "reporter" for Cannock Chase Radio also happens to work there. Argos and Sainsbury distribution jobs will go as Sainsbury's utilise their massive network and combine the two to save a fortune, as they should. They just waited till after the Christmas rush so they could see exactly which units were the worst performing or in the wrong place. Sainsbury's have a massive Distribution Centre in Coleshill so they don't need extra.
