I've booked a restaurant for Wednesday, here's hoping it's okay.
Not necessarily Eat owt to Pig Out but we went to the Anotalian (Turkish) restaurant last night and their distancing and hygiene policy were really good and very disciplined.
Also the food was really, really good as well.
I would recommend to anyone who is understandably cautious at the present time.
This is where the carer wants to go... Maybe next week.
the food is really good and the staff were very reassuring and if I was understandably nervous with the current situation this is one of the few places I would actually recommend.
If you’re going Monday to Wednesday then you probably need to book in advance.
Also the Greyhound had good social distancing measures for a pre nosh drinky.
This is very good to know, thanks @Thehooperman. I've booked Ayo Gorkhali, I am not sure how they can make it work but we'll see.
I look forward to hearing back, as I love that place.
Just to echo @Thehooperman the Turkish was great, I felt safe. I've also just finished the leftovers I took home!
I love Ayo but I haven't been in since release from lockdown because as much as I trust the staff I can't see how the customers can socially distance.
This may a perspective thing on my side but I'm tending to go to outside places or establishments where I know they can accommodate the distances required.
I hope they've taken some of the tables out which will make the distancing better, definitely can't be sharing a table with anyone. If it's uncomfortable I will walk out.
I'm totally in agreement with that.
We've not eaten out yet because the situation hasn't arisen.
We've just got used to eating in the garden.
When we do eat out. I think our first choice will be somewhere with space.
So perhaps someone like The Seven Stars.
Anyone been yet?
10 year anniversary this month. Anywhere half decent seems to be booked up already.
I'm guessing even somewhere half decent will be booked up if it's on a mon-wed?
Managed to get in the Dog and Doublet for a Monday. Moat House was pretty much booked up in the restaurant
Just booked two establishments for the Monday and Tuesday when we're away in Norfolk in two weeks time.
It looks like most of their pubs and restaurants don't require bookings for outside seating so can try these if necessary but I'm not sure if I want to eat out for three nights on the go.
Can you use meerkat meals alongside this? Could be a few cheap meals there!
Pizza hut was busy last night, although they weren't all systems go on the voucher - they said they would be by next week but for now they are working on a code system you're supposed to get from the server. Pizza as pizza-hutty as ever.
Booked in to Ye Olde Dun Cow (in Colton) for lunch today to celebrate our anniversary. Only booked last week and they offered me any time I wanted.
We used to go there a fair bit but noticed over the last few years how the quality appeared to have gone downhill a little...(in our eyes anyway)...
i'm sure the beefeater restaurants were on meerkat meals at one point. Did I imagine this?
