Drove past the houses on Meadow Way today - it looks a mess. Weeds on the front drives and some broken windows. I wonder what is going on?

Some are being knocked down I've been informed by somebody that lived there. The foundations are collapsing and not safe to live in.

What a mess - Planning permission should never have been granted for the site.

I was told the other day that the people living in those houses had to move out because it was unsafe (and since then the windows have been put in , not suprised ) But now 'they' (can't remember who he said they are ) are going to rent them out to people to live in..... :?:.

Yes - I heard that too. I saw a Friel Homes van there the other day so maybe they are getting ready to rent them out - doesn't seem right if they are "unsafe"

Went past today and there is a large "to let" sign at the front of the estate. Looks like the whole estate is for rent. Surprised that there hasn't been anything in the local papers about this fiasco! Looks like a cover up job to save the builders and SBC Planners.

The planners are responsible for approving or refusing a scheme. Building control are responsible for ensuring that the development is built properly. It's building control and the developer that are responsible for this fiasco. I'd also question nhbc's involvement.
