Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but I found it whilst looking for something else. Anyway, I met Neil Morrissey in the toilets at St.George's Social Club. He offered me out until I found out that my mate had approached him earlier and told him about me, so he decided to wind me up.

Saw Craig Cash at Alton Towers, then met him later in the Hotel, (our kids made friends) sad thing is that he sounds the same sad git as he does on Royal Family. I was talking to his mate and didn't even know that he was in Early Doors with Craig Cash. (never watched it).

Me and a friend were approached by a dishevelled looking elderly man and a younger woman one lunch time, asking for advice on where to get some "good pub food". "Join us", we said, "we're going to the Coach". So, there we are with celebrity chef Keith Floyd and his wife, listening to some fantastic stories, and impressing manager Mark with our new friend. He ate fish, chips and peas, by the way, and loved it. He left tickets on the door for us for his show tha night at the Gatehouse, thanked us on stage, and joined us for drinks afterwards. A lovely man!!

I encountered Mr Bill Bailey in Stafford market once.
He was entering as I was leaving.
"Scary giant goth replica" is what he described me as.

OK, I CAN BEAT ALL OF YOU!! :D

I ONCE GOT STUCK IN A LIFT WITH NONE OTHER THAN THE BEASTIE BOYS!!! Read on.....

It was the Birmingham Hummingbird...support was Henry Rollins back in the 90's. Me and my mate were heading out having seen the B Boys and hearing Mr Rollins shout that "none of us were gonna leave the building alive!" The stairs were full of dope heads and we decided to risk the naff lift. On entering the lift i didn't notice the 3 sneezing fellas huddled together in the corner, I just started nattering to her about the B Boys performance. Well, the next thing I know she was nudging me...and I heard MCA say thanks for the review (good job it was a praising report eh?)....and turned around to see the three of them stood there. Well...what do you do??? The next thing that happened was Ad Rcock starting banging buttons in the lift and the lift is going up and down a few feet at a time, up down up down. We were all a bit spooked. Anyway, we stopped and the doors didn't open so I thought...hmmmm excellent opportunity for........AUTOGRAPHS!!!! So, I reach into my handbag (cause i was a real rock chick! ;) ) withdrew a pen and paper which I used to carry to all gigs just in case! Anyway, I proceeded to make my way along the row of sniffing and coughing chaps handing out tissues as I asked for their autographs and passing comments with them regarding the wonders of the British Climate. Unfortunately sods law being as it is my pen ran out after MCA and I just thought....Bugger!!! I remember Mike D commenting that he couldn't wait to get home and MCA mentioning that he was dying. I said something like good job I was here then with my tissues and they all agreed. Mean while my mate is just stood there in some sort of trance, jaw dropped just watching the proceedings. Anyway, I went back to my side of the lift and we heard a banging on the door and folks shouting asking if we were ok. We agreed we were and then the doors were prised open leaving a step of approx 2 ft for us to climb up to the reception area. Anyway. It wasn't gonna be a easy climb so the next thing we hear is "ladies first!" and can feel various hands on our bottoms pushing us up the step to safety!

So......we both had what I suppose you would call a bump up from the biggest rap act of the time, and not the sort of bump-up that I suppose many other girlies experienced from the lads :D

My mate said that a few weeks later in the gig reviews that followed their performance there was a comment from MCA saying thanks to the girls in the lift for the tissues. Arrrhhhh still makes me smile and I still have the autograph and pen etchings from the dissapointing bic.......that had to die at that moment in time......poo!

I was in the Gatehouse when Climax Bluesband were playing there, early 80's. Ian Gillan made a guest appearance. I snogged Mr Gillan, was invited into private bar by Peter Haycock (climax Blues band, he lived next door to me in bedford avenue when I was a kid) then proceeded to get ratted with Noddy Holder whom, I might add is a great bloke. And by the way I read in another thread(don't know which) people were wondering why bands no longer played at Bingley Hall. According to Mr Holder, accoustics are crap.

Oh and I ran into...or rather followed Randy Quaid around the National Gallery once....my dad got him to sign a napkin in the cafe for him....bless! he was sooooooo tall! For those of you who can't remember who is is he was the hero who flew his plane into the spacecraft on Independance Day....and he was also in the National lampoons vacation movies...and played the neighbour from hell in a cool Richard Prior film called Moving.

When I was a little sprog me and my sister who used to get dressed the same in a wierd.."come play with us Danny" type twins thingy from the shining...and we were at Bigley Hall for a custom car show and we got to spend the afternoon sat on Boy Georges lap back in the days when he use dto wear high heels. Red they were...I remember and my sister asked..."are you a man or a woman?" and he said to the crowd gathered around us..."arhhhh aint they cute!" and prceeded to buy us crisps and cola all day...thought my dad was going to have to fight for custody...hehe...true I swear! :D Not as good as my previous Beatie Boy post though...I think you'll agree!!!
