Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Driving behind a police car on Queensway by New Look. I followed him into a box junction and he once he had cleared the box junction he stopped even though there was nothing in front of him, forcing me to stop in the box junction. I wondered if he was going to book me for stopping in a box junction, didn't happen though...

A little bit OT but I'm quite surprised that MOT is now public information:

Some countries require you to display a valid test disc in the windscreen, as with the old 'tax disc' here.

Just seen a light blue Corsa go on the wrong side of the road out here, avoid the roundabout completely and go onto Sainsburys. How he/she/it missed hitting anyone must be down to brilliant driving/luck on the on coming traffics part. Some people should not be driving.

What is it with people and lanes????

Been cut up twice today by people going straight ahead at roundabouts cutting across the right turn lane (which I was in, turning right...) and seen so many people cutting up other drivers because they've been in the wrong lane for where they're heading and just barge over regardless of who's already there

And don't get me started (again!) on roundabout indicator use...

Had a close encounter with a van driving into Barnes Rd off Somerset Rd. Barnes Rd is no entry off the mini island. Had to brake to avoid him, the car I was driving is not in for body repair until Tuesday to sort damage from previous blind van driver backing into me. :grr:

It is odd, but at one time that was what people were told to do. There were even some councils who put up signs telling you to do just that, and one had a very complex sign indicating vehicles weaving in and out of each other round a roundabout

Yesterday Morning before 7am down the back lanes I passed 4 cyclists and two cars with no lights on, what is wrong with people, makes me soooo angry that people are so thoughtless and stupid :grr:. :pig: :aboot: :blah:

Enjoying a drop of red.
The red David Plant Fiesta driven by a woman wearing a bright yellow coat, presumably his wife onto Weeping Cross just.

I use the word driven in the like a dickhead on a racetrack sense.

I'm a cyclist, I have immense sympathy with what cyclists have to suffer at the hands of motor vehicles, but any cyclist who isn't highly visible and using lights when appropriate deserves everything they get when they get knocked off. It's selfish and inconsiderate to car drivers who have no chance of seeing the cyclist and then get the blame when preventable misfortune affects the cyclist.

Many times lately I've seen cyclists with no visible back light - in fact, the light has been there and turned on, but their jacket has obscured it once they are sitting on the saddle.

Fitting lights on the seat-post is not a good idea.

This idiot decided to over take about 7 cars at the temporary lights on doxey rd at 9 this morning . Then carried on driving like a bellend towards town. He's driving one of the newer Ford Focus dark blue with taped up passenger wingmirror.

Bloke pulling a trailer - deciding to turn into the coned off entrance at the Showground, thus blocking the entire road, because the cones were in the way - then arguing with his wife, who didn't want to get out and move the cones which had been put there to stop people doing just what he was trying to do.

Eventful trip back from my OH house just - first off, the rear door of the trailer being towed by the Land Rover in front came clean off and started bouncing down the road towards me - both brakes and steering are, it turns out, in good working order...

Then heading over the single lane bridge on the Sandon Road heading back towards Stafford, a car heading the other way opted to ignore the fact that me and the car ahead A) had priority as per the signage and B) were already heading through the single lane... neither of us being in the mood for that nonsense, the offending car was forced to make a slow reverse...

That one avoided I then got stuck behind a slow moving tanker - not an issue in itself, but the BMW behind was rather too close for comfort, before going past me on the approach to a blind crest and having to duck in between me and the car ahead pretty quick when a van appeared on the horizon. They gained precisely nothing, as we both got the the junction with Beaconside at the same time...

Well forumites, be thankful for my ABS that I'm still here to chat with you all, no thanks to the f*ckin tw*tty old to55er who pulled out in front of me just 30 mins ago!!!! Driving on the A518 towards town at just under 60mph, saw the old git at the junction from Derrington waiting to turn left on to the main road so took my foot off the accelerator remembering my old driving instructors words; "what IF" Always drive imagining 'what if' he used to say, what if the other driver does what he shouldn't. Checked the speedo and I'd gone from 57 down to 50, and as I get about 100 yards from the junction, stupid old ar*e (see above for further adjectives), decided to pull out on me just as another car was coming in the opposite direction leaving me nowhere to go. Not only did he pull out almost right in front of me, he didn't even go for it, just pulled out and tootled along at 30mph!!! Gave my ABS, flashing head lights and horn a right good test he did :(. ...................................I mean, it's dark, I had headlights on, he must have seen me, unless he is actually blind. Terrible driving and I'm genuinely lucky to not have been badly injured. Proper shot of adrenaline I got as well :(
