Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

ST07 PRX! South Street is not a rat run and if you were a few seconds later you could have had a major insurance process plus a criminal record! The one way sign is there for a reason.

Had sumat like that down North Castle st last week. I'd just parked up outside me lads, and a big Renault thing came the wrong way down the 1 way bit. Looked at me gone out when I pointed out to him that it were 1 way.

Was he only going one way though?

Just home from a long motorway journey back from Somerset - 4 hours on the M5/M42/M6 reminded me why I hate motorways so much...

Middle lane hoggers, outside lane hoggers (travelling much slower than everyone else but point blank refusing to move over, thus causing frustrated drivers to undertake) and idiots flying along at 100+ weaving between lanes and undertaking everyone were just some of the highlights

And for about 25 miles I was wondering if the inside lane was actually shut, given that I was the only person actually using the damn thing!!!!!

Still, at least food and drink in service stations is reasonably priced, with the major chains keeping their prices identical to those found in town centres... :grr:

Brilliant one Friday on the way home from work. Crawling out of town down the Lichfield Road. Just coming over Queensville bridge when a guy in a 4x4 decides he can't be bothered to queue any longer. Decides to turn right across facing traffic mount the kerb across the grass towards the retail park and continue right into the retail park. 10 out of 10 for initiative.

I generally avoid motorways here for similar reasons, though I use the M7 from Dublin and it's fairly civilised. In March, I had cause to do the other half of it to Limerick and it really did look like this, but with a car coming the other way sometimes.

I never went over the allowed 120 and nobody passed me.

Bliss! I wish more motorways were like that

Just followed a most interesting duel at the "zip-in" section after the Blackheath Lane roundabout. Interestingly, the BMW finally gave way to the Ford as to approaching traffic loomed closer.

The BMW was, though, not being driven by a standard driver, I followed for a while after - he indicated a few times and never went over the speed limit. I suspect he might be carrying eleven points...

Is my memory failing me or were there once signs on the slip roads onto the motorway facing towards the motorway & saying something like "you are going the wrong way"? Or was that just a story someone was telling in a bar?

They do - flashy modern roads are still a new thing.

The junctions can also be rather large, so that you often can't really see the other end of the slip road and there's often nobody else about to give you a clue that you've got it wrong....

In the scene above, the yellow line being on the right is a clue, but it's not that obvious.

Motorways are still 'new' over there - not long ago, what is now the N7 was known as the Dual Carriageway, because it was the dual carriageway.

My grandfather once went the wrong way down the M6.

He was old, he's not any more.

Amazingly he was still allowed to drive even after such an obvious calamity.

Not for much longer though - luckily he died three years later, before he could take anyone with him.

A few weeks back this guy came past me on the M6 pulling a wheelie. Speaking with colleagues he is well known for doing this. Glad he has been caught.

I saw it was harlow and thought it must be a different guy, there is, I assume a man, pulling wheelies, taking selfies etc on the m6.

It's about time they had someone issuing tickets to the drivers going along south walls from the mini roundabout by nationwide/post house etc. Lots of non"taxis & local busses" using that road every day.

Enjoying a drop of red.

Many might argue that should never have become a restricted access route in the first place.
