Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

What is it with Stafford station and selfish dicks who either stop in the middle of the road to drop off blocking people from getting off Station Road onto the station frontage, or morons who think it's ok to just wait anywhere for the people they are collecting. Everyone can get 20 minutes free parking in the multi storey car park there, why don't these idiots use it instead of blocking the road. Seriously the selfish inconsideration of some is disgustin. The place was so rammed with this idiocy today that even a police car on blue lights couldnt get through :(

Donegal has a reputation for rather lower standards of both driving and vehicle condition than generally apply in other counties within the Republic.

'God Ted look at that.....there's a dent in the car'. Car seized by Gardaí in Donegal for no insurance.

Given that if you stay a tiny bit too long you get absolutely screwed over for a days parking I am not surprised virtually nobody wants to risk the multi story.

How difficult is it to stay in the 20 minute limit if dropping someone off? Why the need to stop the car in the middle of the road blocking everyone in while they kiss their little darlings goodbye. Why not just go in to the multi storey ground floor where there is plenty of space to pull in out of everyone's way? It's selfish, nothing more, nothing less.

Remember, people flooded into the Beaconside GP/Pharmacy car park when picking up their kids while the Health Centre car park was closed. How clueless do you have to be to think that's a good idea?

When it comes to dropoff/pickup time, too few people have any common sense.

But then the little darlings would have to walk an extra 20 yards.

If it really were a very quick stop to kiss their little darlings goodbye then it wouldn't be an issue if they stopped in the normal dropping of / picking up area. If it is longer than that then yes a problem, but the alternative is a fair chance of a massive parking fee. Can't turn around in time, or someone blocking the way and bang goes £12.

Coincidently, the reason my better half commutes by car these days is because the car parking fee got to be too silly for a full day (let alone for half an hour).

One wonders how I managed to park the car in the multi story, walk to station, collect preordered tickets, take lift to platform, say goodbye to daughter, walk back to car and all within the 20 minute limit. Infact I had about 8 minutes to spare. It's very easy to do,

It's everyone stopping in front of the station to kiss little darlings good bye that jam the whole system up., How long they take is irrelevant, it causes unnecessary queues at busy times out on to Station Road.

Whilst walking to town approaching the pedestrian crossings by ORJ solicitors on Lichfield road, I was particularly looking at the driver of the big yellow Mark Thompson HGV as he was about to be overtaking a cyclist and not leaving much room...... Wasn't even looking at the road whilst rolling his fag with both hands off the steering wheel!

I had to yield almost of my leeway to a granny-wagon-type ambulance this morning, as he veered across to my side of the road, whilst trying to hold his phone down out of sight.

All sorts of things there that can easily add up when they don't go right. Just because you are lucky doesn't mean others won't be unlucky.

Not if it is a brief kiss. Less delay than the seemingly acceptable one getting a ticket from the car park barrier.

This person is probably a terrible driver. It’s still car-related.

Southbound on Weston road, just after the hospital, there is a large patch of pavement on which people park. This has been quite a pain point recently - I’ve had to avoid people talking to someone parked on that pavement while standing in the road while leaning in the window while wearing all navy in the dark, people getting in and out of their car at poor moments, etc.

But today takes the cake. Driving down Weston Road and some tit has parked right on the edge (the pavement takes a whole car, you don’t partially park on the road) with driver’s door wide open fiddling with something down the side of the steering column. The door was open wide into the road. Hope someone takes it off really, but that would be unfair on the person who hit it.

Surely if you’re going to do that, you park a bit more sensibly?

Me.
Friday.
Reversed into a lamp post.
Have the (rather large) dent to prove it.
Winner?

My dad’s hit walls in reverse two or three times now. All the claims he’s made have actually caused my mum to be a negative hit on my premiums if I add her to my insurance

This is not the first (or probably the last) time I've damaged the car...

I misjudged a corner and scraped the side along some metal fencing (nice big gouge and chunk missing from the tyre)
I went * slightly * off roading when I got lost and ended up cracking the underside of the engine (OH had to glue it back together - it still leaks)
I was involved in an accident last year * fault pending * and dented the front quite badly (so badly the car was actually written off!)
I got lost in Liverpool and mounted a central reservation (I actually got quite a lot of 'air' - impressive you could say) and knocked the tracking out.

I am a BAD driver.

I never claim off the insurance - apart from the write off....

It actually turned out pretty good as with the payout the car has only cost me £400!

There is no point in me having a nice car - I'll just have my crappy dented one until it dies!
