Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

Lovely one today - here, on the Queensway, about where the black car is - car in A34 lane, me in A449 lane ( because that's where I'm going ), Mr 4x4 in Town Centre Lane. When he realises that he's in the wrong lane Mr 4x4 pulls across me sharply, I manage to brake just enough to let him in without hitting me before the lanes diverge - he then makes the leftward slide where the dodgy lane-change is after the pedestrian crossing, but just continues straight across into the left lane, cutting up the poor chap to my left - because, after all that, he's really going to Asda....

Variation on a common theme, I travel this way daily and often see people changing lanes randomly either through selfishness or ignorance.

I dont know what people are doing at the moment but for the past 4/5 times i've driven over Brocton to Milford (8:15am ish everyday), people have been sat on my rear bumper trying to get me to go over the 30/40 speed limit. They have weaved across the road to get past me (not able to) and been quite aggressive....im not going to go any faster!! i will do the speed limit and you shall just have lump it!

Yep, quite common round there, no-one seems to be able to follow the road markings, either that or they just don't care... saw the same thing happen to a lorry this morning, lorry was in the A449 lane correctly and a car cut right in front of it from the Town Centre lane

I always watch my mirrors carefully round there, especially as the A449 is normally where I'm heading and the number of people who cut over from the Town Centre lane is astonishing...

I actually drive more slowly in that situation - they eventually seem to get the message!

Congratulations once again go to Randles Peugeot and Suzuki. 4.10pm yesterday their transporter was outside Suzuki, blocking the lane for going straight up the Newport Road AND parked on the pavement so anyone disabled would be forced to use the road to get past.

Then again this morning, 8.45 am. The cinema bound lane was blocked forcing traffic onto the wrong side of the road AT RUSH HOUR and causing mayhem.

You'd think that would be enough wouldn't you, but not for these guys apparently. 9.10am yet another bloody transporter parked outside Suzuki blocking pavement and lane and causing yet more hold-ups.

Email, together with photographic evidence, sent to SBC suggesting they send their many traffic wardens round there at peak times and get this illegal and totally thoughtless bunch fined.

Indeed, one lane is almost 'normal', but, three is a bit much..

This looked more like plain carelessness than ignorance or selfishness, although he probably possessed both in adequate quantities.

I have a picture of a transported fully in the newport road lane at the traffic lights outside suzuki (on double yellow lines) from Monday lunchtime if you want it to go with your other ones....

I don't know if poor driving was involved, as I didn't see the actual event itself, but there was a big shunt on the Eccleshall road tonight at around 7pm, in the double bend by Waltonhurst Lane.

All dealt with in a textbook fashion by the chap(esse)s in blue - and green - nobody seriously hurt, just shocked and bruised, which was largely a testimony to modern vehicle design.

Might calm people down along there for a while - or might not.

Arsehole in a white Audi A6 registration DP13 FWV. Decided he would cut me up on The Island by going in the A449 lane when actually he was going up the A34. Then, either because I had the temerity to flash my lights at him briefly, or more likely because he was drunk/on drugs he drove up the A34 intermittently slamming his brakes on, accelerating like a twat, swerving towards oncoming traffic and in one instance ignoring the red lights on the pedestrian crossing just before Silkmore Roundabout, causing a young lady to have to make a bit of a dive to avoid being hit.

I've reported you to plod, but hopefully before they get to you, you'll have driven into a bus with a big rusty spike on the front first, putting the rest of us out of your misery.

Did I mention he was an arsehole, even by Audi standards?

There were two cars parked on Stone road the other day, both entirely in the bus stop despite no other cars using the layby therefore leaving enough room for several cars to park without hindering the buses. Opposite was a police camera van, but they were only looking for speeders I guess.

Doesn't surprise me, I quite often see people driving/parking badly with police around and they never seem to do anything about it...

The Tixall Road is a nightmare with people parking in the cycle lanes (which is also covered by the same rule...)

I wonder if the camera van is actually manned/womanned/personned by a police ossifer or a civilian without the necessary powers to issue fines? Anybody on here know?
