Is this an idea to sell the FC?

Twas floated in Scotland (to sell the SFC that is) many moons ago but came to nothing. Having sold the family silver, is it now to be the wood? Not much left to sell is there.

shoes, man.

Prepare to pay for your biking.

If it happens that is - memory fails to serve as to why it fell (sic) through in Scotland but i'm fairly certain it was a lack of commercial interest rather than poplar (sic) protest against the move.

I stand () to be corrected if that was not the deal ().

Briefing papers for MP's regarding 'The Forestry Commission and the sale of public forests in England'.

Has anybody seen Jeremy Lefroy reading it?
Nah, thats cannock, not his job mate. If he can't handle things in Staffod itself what chance have the woods? There'll be toll booths on the monkey before you know it.

According to the Newsletter Lefroyup visited Amnesty Stafford and told them he was a great supporter of their work

I do hope SFED doesnt find out given that the PM was quoted on the TV this week saying its time to get rid of the Human Rights Act - just about the last thing keeping us from being a dictatorship

Disturbing developments.

"When [Harper's predecessor] Paul Marland supported an earlier attempt by a Conservative government to sell off the forest estate in the 1980s, he was quickly persuaded as to the error of his ways. I'm sure Marland's words will be resonating with Harper today:
'I regard the possible sale of the Royal Forest of Dean and other Crown Forests to faceless investors as a national disaster. The Royal Forest of Dean is steeped in ancient history and tradition. Today's Forester is of the same independent mind and rugged character as were his forefathers. It is our duty to preserve his ancient rights and traditions.'"
