There was talk of a McDonlads in this area, someplace somewhere.

Though, they prefer tin sheds to buildings with character.

What would people like to see?

Hooters, Stafford needs a Hooters.
I made @Goldilox go to one in Atlanta so I could feast on their deoicious chicken wings.

There was one in Nottingham for a while and I know of at least one Games Company that 'entertained clients' there so often the amount spent at Hooters was a contributing fact to thier eventual demise.

Not fussed as long as it's used
Doesn't quite make sense, you wouldn't want a 50p shop that makes the place look shabby, but oh well, the building's kept?
...nor a place you wouldn't actually use yourself.

Very classey upmarket Indian, i can see that.

I have been in the hooters in Santa Monica and the one in Vegas, without doubt the grimest places I have ventured into, an air of depression and dreadful food. Awful chain.

As long as the place is used, and as such gets heated etc.... Stafford doesn't have a very good history when it comes to Listed properties that are just left empty for a long period of time....

Sadly Stafford council would not be bothered.

The one in Nottingham is still there and according to their website is the only Hooters location in the UK.

Actually I would rather see a cheap shop than an empty building.

I don't get this idea that no one wants a shop they wouldn't use. Being a bloke it's not like I get a lot of use out of Dorothy Perkins or Saffron Lingerie but I'd much prefer to see them there than empty shops.

Surely a thriving town centre should be catering to a variety of people's needs? I can't see a town centre that only had guitar shops and second hand books being very much use for the majority of the town's residents even though they're my favourite things.

Why doesn't Stafford have a second hand bookshop? Maybe I need a career change.
