Thought I'd kill 2 birds taking the wife's car to Asda to collect a prescription at lunchtime...
The queue was only a few cars back to the mini roundabout. Imagine the expletives when I realised I only had my phone and not the wallet....

If there had been a branch available a recreation of the scene from Fawlty Towers would have occurred for sure....

Tesco filling station open as of about half an hour ago. Not much in the way of queuing I could see as I drove up the Newport Road.

Reading comments elsewhere posted a few minutes ago, seems they have now run out again ...

Managed to get diesel today from Esso on Lammascote Road. £30 maximum spend but that should be enough for the week.

When I went back out after picking the wallet up Tesco was closed... Ended up at the shell on Eccleshall rd...

I did smell the familiar smell biodiesel chip exhaust up at Rowley park last night... Brought back memories of a MK3 golf estate we used to run on the stuff....

Hilton Park Services AND Frankley northbound haven't got any fuel now either , as well as no Diesel on M6 Toll if anyone is planning on filling up there en-route....

Frankley saying no fuel for cars and vans northbound , so must have some available there for the lorries.

I was relying on motorway services on the way down south to he able to top up in order to get us back. ...

If we encounter dry pumps, might have to get hubby's boss to drive him back for work in his electric works car, leaving me and the car down there for an extended holiday

If anyone needs fuel I've just gone past the Shell and BP garages on the way into town and both looked to have cars and vans filling up.

Tesco and Asda also but short queues branded stations no queues. only no fuel was Texaco. so looks like the panicked have full tanks now.

Still got about 500 miles in mine, so can wait. Wonder if they will have too much now and it'll go down again, was great when it hit a quid last year!

I remember when it first hit a quid - for a gallon! - and we were all horrified - and the pumps couldn't deal with prices above 99.9p - so they dispensed at 'half-price' and it was doubled at the till...
