To you who are, PLEASE check out AIM. I've been a huge fan for years, and my best friends boyfriend, has been too, he now plays bass with them . . . dreams really can come true, certainly in Nicks case. They're playing Friday-Jazz World Stage

Twat is missing my wedding as it clashes. . .off my Christmas card list.

I like mud. It will be fine. :shifty:
I agree...if you go well prepared i reckon the mud makes it better! Last time (2005) we were about half way up Pennard Hill, and after the torrential rain on the 1st day many of the tents at the bottom of the hill were literally submerged. Loads of people lost everything, but as we'd used our brains a little we were fine.

Galleryah_blog.jpg

(it was much worse than this in places)

We'd all taken waterproof clothing and decent footwear, so whilst there were people sliding about in trainers/wellies, and then getting stuck in the mud when it started to dry out, we just strolled about without a care in the world. I spent a total of £60 on all my stuff (cheapo waterproof hiking boots from that discount place out at Seighford, bog standard waterproof trousers and a jack in a pack from Millets), which is bugger all when you think about how much more I enjoyed the festival than those who were ill-equipped. There were people queueing for hours to buy wellies from the Millets tent....how many bands/artistic performances did they miss? Many of them went away empty handed too. If you're going to spend £150 on a ticket and probably a couple of hundred quid on things to take and spending money, why not make sure that when the inevitable happens all you have to do is pop a kagool on and carry on as normal?!

Unfortunately i'm not going this year, but plenty of mates are......luckily there's loads of BBC coverage - details HERE. Not only can you listen on the radio and watch on BBC2, BBC3 and BBC4, but you'll also be able to access 40 live sets online, starting on Saturday and available for a week. Bonza.

For those who are going, have a reasonably enjoyable time.

Hehehe.....was this ever gonna work?!?

The Guardian said:
The only real chancers he had seen so far, said Alan Brewer, team leader at Pedestrian Gate A, were the five young men wearing wetsuits who had claimed to be part of a performing troupe and said they hadn't been able to carry their tickets since they had no pockets. "They didn't get in. We're not stupid."

Correction to my earlier post about being safe from the flooding if you camp up the hill; dont camp in a ditch up the hill!

I've just had a call from BBC and Podz who are on their way back now, having spent the night in the car. Their huge 9 man tent is a complete washout, as is the majority of their stuff! They have no shoes, and virtually everything is ruined. Oh dear.

Just got back. I'm absolutely positive that I saw someone who looked like who I thought was BBC from what I could remember of the garden party. It was Thursday night at the stone circle. I could be wrong!

I loved Glastonbury, twas my first time and I will go back again. The motorhome was a great idea and I will stay in another when I return. Down point to having a motorhome was pushing it off the field on the Monday morning. Heavy rainfall during the night meant getting stuck in the mud. Has anyone posted their Glasto experience up yet on facebook?
