General Election 2017

When I was in Portugal earlier this month I spoke to a friend (in her 60's) who'd just traveled from the Algarve to Lisbon just to vote in the French presidential election. (She's an American from Oakland, btw .... don't ask.) She was annoyed that she was effectively having to vote for her least worst candidate, and said she wouldn't be bothering to vote again.
In our respective countries, isn't that what we all do and say?

Sorry to disagree, i say vote for whomever* you like (i'm voting Labour, not sure any of you have noticed), be it Green if you believe in them strongly enough.

Noting your liver bird, so let's go football, where would Leicester City have been (2015/16), if it were not for support? Why watch Leicester City if you know in your heart of hearts, you're not supporting a team that has every chance of winning the Premier League, from one year to the next?

Why support Liverpool FC if you know you don't really have a chance of winning the Premier League?

Well done for getting into the Champions League bytheway!

*vote Labour!
...oh, @kyoto49, you are, right?

I don't see the point in voting for anyone else bar Labour or Conservative as they just don't have any sort of chance of winning, that's the harsh reality of our political system. Yes, I'm voting Labour but I have huge Green tendencies, but seriously, they have no chance, not a hope. All i've done by voting for them is increase the Tory majprity should they win, or reduce the chance of Labour winning. I wish it wasn't thus. Tactical voting is the only way to beat the Tories and it's why the Green candidate has withdrawn in Derby North:

I don't get the football analogy really! I support Liverpool because we DO have a chance of winning the league. West Brom on the other hand are the Green equivalent!!!! Thanks for the congrats, we're very happy to be back in the Champions League :)

If anyone is thinking of voting Green, please reconsider for this election and vote Labour!

What a dismal election!
Yet it is a straight choice whether you want May or Corbyn as the next Prime Minister.
I have no love for May, as she and the Tories have failed on a number of issues over the past 7 years, But what is the alternative? Corbyn, McDonnell, Thornberry Abbot?
Corbyn would sell out Northern Ireland, he would cosy up to the SNP to get their support. He would not try to reduce immigration indeed he would go out of his way to expand it.. His Leftard sensibilities would stop him tackling extremism and terrorism.
Corbyn is not fit to be Prime Minister.
