I reckon you're best off wearing walking boot-style footwear, not wellies. In 2004 and 2005 when the bottom of Pennard Hill was completely flooded, with water reaching the top of many tents, everywhere was boggy and some places were knee-deep muddy, we all wore walking boots and waterproofs and were all absolutely fine. There were people falling at the wayside, trying in vain to pull their wellies out of the mud, whilst we strolled on by without a care in the world. They're really not that practical. I bought my walking boots for a grand total of 20 squids from that discount place near Seighford, and they're still going strong.cookie_monster said:
