I love it when people twist things for their own means.
Admin actually went out of their way and did not make comment that Mal and Coeus are the same person or not.
There are times when some people on the forum disappoint me greatly. Page one of this thread - ooooh, how amazing someone is doing up Gothic Cottage and restoring it to its' original glory. Brilliant.
Page two onwards - Oh actually, It's MAL, well he's definitely a baddie so let's derail this thread too and turn it into a bullying/witch hunt/conspiracy theory thread.
I really can't stand judgemental people.
As Admin said, good on MAL for coming on here and not only answering questions but keeping his calm when so many were being down right vile to him.
Actually @Admin didn't make a comment about whether MAL and Coeus were one and the same as they were waiting for replies to private messages.

I think we should all draw a line under this and carry on as normal.

Except that he wasn't misleading, or rather he wasn't misleading in the way that sock accounts usually are.So we've established that MAL was knowingly misleading us and then used another alias to be even more misleading.
Thank you, @Lucy; this could not be more true. Not only do I have a real life outside The Forum, but that life is currently very busy with managing chronic illness, new additions to the family, and all the usual highs and lows that your average Joe/Jolene is party to. Sometimes one can't help but think if it's worth it when it seems you can't do right for doing wrong!I wonder if people realise how difficult it is to admin a forum? Not only has this become a witch hunt I'd be feeling pretty low if I was the admin, as it seems to be that everyone is annoyed about their course of action. I admin a forum and keep having the same person signing up again after they've been banned, and it's difficult to find sometimes. I guess he has a real life too so can't sit here doing everything you want him to every hour of the day either.
Bet you're not.So we've established that MAL was knowingly misleading us and then used another alias to be even more misleading. But somehow that's OK and anyone who says otherwise is a conspiracy theorist and witchhunter. No point in this forum if it's just going to be another Snoozeletter and Radio FleaMason.
I'm out.

Tis but a fleeting thought, though.
Bet you're not.
But just to address this head on, as I know this is one of the more pervasive notions amongst a handle of people: I do not work for any Council, or developer, and am not part of the Freemasons, or any other group that may enjoy "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours" privileges. I had never heard of ELM or the name Martin Lennon until they were mentioned in the Rugby Club thread (indeed, I had to just look his name up again whilst writing this as I had forgotten it and nearly wrote Martin Freeman!). I barely know anyone on here, in fact.
I know this won't convince some of you, but frankly I couldn't care less. As Lucy says, this is a thankless, tiring job, and I'm just happy that Stafford Forum is as popular as it now is, nearly 10 years on from me starting it as a bit of a joke with friends because I was living away from Stafford and forever preaching about how much I missed my beloved home town and wanted a way to stay in touch with the community. If a few of you want to believe that I am part of a local conspiracy and treating some people differently than others, you are welcome to - I am just amused that you think Stafford Forum has that kind of reach/influence, and that any such people would even want me as a member of their No Homers Club.
Now, please:
So, how's that Gothic Cottage looking?
Not going to disagree with you, but how does the price of normal wooden double glazed units compare to the upvc stuff? My house was built in 1900 and froz to death, and almost all of us have upvc.UVPC windows should be banned for any house built before the 1960's, in my opinion.
