Does anyone have any (cheap) ideas for half term entertainment.
For once husband has half term off work and were looking for things to keep a 7yr old entertained, but it has to be cheap!

Traveling isn't an issue as long as we can get back on the same day, we like walks- but are a bit fed up of Cannock Chase, museums, and visiting animal4 type places....
Places recently visited, Manifold valley, Cannock Chase, Cannnock Chase museum, Trentham, Ammerton Farm, Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre.. ..7yr old also has a curious love of garden centres.....

Heads up - Blackbrook Zooalogical Park is half price over half term (they were flooded earlier in the winter so you may need your wellies)

Bridgemere and Dagfields are close together - loads of weird things in the 'antiques' at Dagfields - possibility for a wet day out..

Cosford - obviously.

Climb the Wrekin.

She loves Bridgemere, went to Dagfields last week - child hated it, we loved it but only had enough time to get halfway round, so can defiantly go back there...

Should point out that we're wellies and ambling type walkers, not serious walking boots and compass types, and husband has a knack of getting us VERY lost!

Lol well reminded, I had a flyer for Hawkstone - looks good :)
Especially if you've seen The Chronicles of Narnia that was filmed there - http://www.bbc.co.uk/shropshire/content/image_galleries/hawkstone_narnia_gallery.shtml ..

And there's obviously Ironbridge Museum, as well..
Gramaisc, isn't Ironbridge hideously expensive? Might go back to Cosford, haven't been for a couple if years....

Anyone been to Birmingham museum lately? Not sure the child will enjoy it so much if its all art, rather than natural history and I haven't been their for years. Went to the science museum about 3yrs ago and it was very run down.

I haven't been to Ironbridge for twenty years.

Cosford is 'free', just a car-park charge.

Putting two and two together - any decent child will be very interested in aircraft and you seem to have kept this one for seven years...

Most i know are spending this week catching up on marking. If there is one thing I've learnt working in education its that I could never be a teacher, the good ones never stop working.

I guess I could be a bad one though.......

Do you have Tesco vouchers? You can swap £1 for £4 for days out, might be worth a look.
