Have you seen Jeremy Lefroy in Stafford?

Sage advice.

The only thing i can see him have going for him at the moment is his support for overseas aid - which believe it or not i belive does actually have some resonance with people of the Borough, gawd bless 'em :stafford: - otherwise it's mostly 'Neither Agree Nor Disagree'.

aka 'I Am Prepared To Agree With What I'm Told To'.

He not only needs to put himself about, he needs to put what he's 'about' about. That may be a bigger ask.

But you are right - he needs to get stuck in

(and me! - Ed)
One of the seedlings wrote to him about the national cutting for the School sports partnership thing. He represents 'Ford! He recieved a very prompt reply! He was incandecent, cause he felt it was merely a stock texted answer, with a few inaccuracies, that meant he had obviously not read it. I appreciated that the seedling had composed the letter himself, taking a not inconsiderable amount of time to produce the well written missive, but had to have a word in his shell like, about the real, cruel, world! All polliticians are now "liars, out for what they can get". And if mr Lefroy has done nowt else, he has recruited another teenager for the next 'student march'! Ah takes me back, but in my day (27 years ago!), we just put up with the abuse from journo's as we marched down Fleet St. and didn't break into Toro' HQ!

ps. He's a strong minded individual, and has had no incouragement from me, my lips have been sealed! :shifty:

He has not been seen much but is quick with email replies. Interesting the hunt still goes on.

Given the latest outrage at our hospital - baby twins death just one week before the Inquiry started, Lefroy should be demanding that the vast somes of money being spent on hundreds of ( ongoing ) compensation claims and the millions spent on legal teams and attendees of hospital staff at the public inquiry, will not mean that the services provided by the beleagured mid staffs trust will be slashed even further
His face should be all over this one right now right here and we should be demanding answers on why other nhs serviices are being slashed to pay for this horrific endless criminal catastrophe

Has he not attended any of the inquiry?

You would have thought, given that the hospital issue probably contributed most to the biggest swing to the Cons anywhere in the country, it would be the least he could do.

Mr Lefroy has been spotted in Stafford!

He was at the church service attended by the Archbishop of Canterbury, and then promptly disappeared again!

No sign of him at the Stafford Hospital inquiry though, probably the single most important issue affecting Stafford at the moment!

What's that about then? Looks like about the only thing he did in October.

Carry on spotting folks. We could launch this as an online game. Oddly it was a topic of discussion at the pub last night which I listened to but did not join in. A lot of people not happy. There was a strong view he should live in the area.

Think he is from Newcastle - according to his wiki site :-

Jeremy Lefroy was the Conservative Party Parliamentary candidate for Newcastle-under-Lyme in the general election of May 2005, losing to Labour's Paul Farrelly, the sitting MP. Lefroy has been married to Janet, a local GP and lecturer at Keele University Medical School, since 1985. Jeremy and Janet have two children, who both went to school in Newcastle.

so let me get this right ..... he tried to become an mp in Newcastle (his hometown) and because he couldnt get in there went further afield ....

How would someone living Newcastle understand the issues/problems from Stafford. Everything is different - industry etc

just a thought ..... bet the mileage claim is a hefty, travelling to and from Newcastle to his constituency office in Stafford ...
