Hello from Chindia!

Hi guy's thanks for your feedback. As for the over charging that driver has gone as we caught on with the problem, and query about salty food was due to my father the original chef at Chindia was taken very ill and had to bring in a temp chef in his spot. We had that problem solved soon after the complaints of a few customers. But now I'm glad to say my father is well and fit and has come back to work which is a relief and customers have realised and the compliments have started again :).

glad your old chap is fit and well :)

very impressed with your input and efforts to address everyone's points so far.. i haven't got round to trying chindia yet, despite good reports from a few friends whose palate's i trust - i gotta say, i think your clear desire to please the customer will be sending me in your direction very soon ;)

I offer a lot of online offers as I have set my website up and am no longer with just-eat.

very wise move imo.. i would never order from just-eat, and i am suspicious of anyone who appears on there - especially after watchdog did that special on them, about delivery services that had no physical premises and were just people knocking out microwaveable meals, etc!

i've checked out your website and i see you have used the same template/shop platform as Slices Stafford - my favourite takeaway in stafford! this is definitely a good thing, in my eyes, as it means i instantly know my way round your site :)

i had a curry just the other day, so am not quite ready for another one yet, but next time will definitely be with you - i look forward to posting my findings in here

Says on your website you are "closed due to unforseen circumstances" is that correct?

It was myself that was overcharged back in the day, seems a long time ago not but also seem to remember that some of the food wasn't great and the "free" items listed on the leaflet weren't included. All of that meant I was never likely to try you again i'm sorry, especially when you consider that there are so many amazing Indians in Stafford.

Anyway some feedback - whenever I tell my friends / family about Chindia when ordering takeaway, most laugh at the concept of a takeaway serving both cuisines.... I think its a great idea as we often can't decide and stump for one.... anyway if it isn't a goer anymore then fair enough but I think the name and the history of the concept would put people off.

Would disagree with DB on JustEat and Hungry House - have used them a few times although not really in Stafford as so few are listed. We only ever order from places we know exist as a proper takeaway and its great because rather than pass the menu around, write down what everyone wants, try and get through on the phone, try and get across what you want to the person on the phone (who may or may not speak good english) and then you don't know how much it will be and never have the right money..... instead just pass the tablet around, people browse the menu, add what they want, pay by card and then wait for it to be delivered.

A few years ago I though this sort of thing would never catch on, I was very wrong. Plus they often do 20% discount vouchers.

I apologise for the issues you have had with us. On the matter of the free items I'm sorry but staff should have mentioned what we got on offer but if you ordered through just-eat then the offers were not available through them. As for the being closed last night we had a family matter and had to close up and leave.

As for the concept I have a little share in a business down south with other family members and the concept id working a treat. I just thought do something closer to home with the same concept and it never took off as I anticipated.

I am know thinking about changing the name but am not sure some want me to keep it and some like the new name what you guys think calling THE INDIAN. As for just-eat I have had to many problems with them and their service that's why I set up my own.

My friend who works at The Railway Inn orders from you every time he wants a curry....we just nicked a bit of his Rogan Josh and it was bloody delicious. As far as he's concerned, you're doing nothing wrong!

Jack a good guy he always orders from us. Just feel ever since I've closed off the Chinese people haven't bothered coming back to me even though they loved my Indian as they said. Or if the Chinese let my Indian down which I apologise for. Just want to know where everyone has gone or is the whether... So when will you be trying us then Andreas Rex? Keep on recommending us to your friends and family. Dill @ chindia

Andreas Rex has already tried you out, a few times - it was he who first recommended you to me!

I tried Chindia for the first time last night.. 4 of us eating in total, so we had a bit of variety - BBQ massala, desi naga, bahari jalfrezi, rice, naan, samosas, bhaji, etc.. All very nice! Good portions, good variety, quick delivery.. Will definitely be ordering again! :)

i heard of one domino's pizza place increasing their business by offering to pick up mcdonald's for people when they delivered, which i think is a brilliant idea! so if someone places an order with you, but one person doesn't like curry, you could offer to pick up a big mac meal on the way round and charge them a £1 premium (on top of the mcdonald's meal price) for it or something ;)

sorry to be a stickler for health and hygiene... but 'saucy' foods are high risk and there's lots of rules and regulations about delivering high risk foods. i think...they have to be taken one at a time and in such a time frame that the food is above a certain temperature upon delivery. (60 degrees maybe? memory tells me food is at its highest risk between 40-60 degrees)
picking up drinks or maccies on the way would likely break these rules, and also, i couldn't guess who would be liable if the big mac made the customer poorly. and u know a maccies won't be above room temperature!

i love me a chindia! I now want curry! x
