hi all,

I'm new to the forum & new to stafford as well!!!

I have just moved to the area (only 4 weeks ago) due to relocating for work. Dont really know anyone yet, or even the area, but just wanted to say hi.

hoping to make some local friends on this forum! ;)

Hi newgirl!

I hope that by finding the forum your arrival in The Ford is made more entertaining! If you would like to meet some Forumites in person I recommend you pop down to Joxer's tomorrow night from about 9.30 for Jam Night, the Library on Saturday at midday to hear me croon, and / or the Market Square a week later for what will probably be an emotionally charged sing along, and then on to the Garden Party... in fact, I can't imagine there have ever been more chances to meet up with fellow Forumites!

lisa, eh? you haven't "relocated" here from Oz, have you? :strange: ;)

welcome to the forum.. i envisage a time, many years from now, when all newbies ask you why your name is "newgirl".. you then have to explain, every time, the history behind you're misnomer! :D lol

thank you all for replying to me. I moved here from sunny bedfordshire about 4 weeks ago & i cant get over how much colder it is up here! (dont laugh!)

im a really friendly person, but just struggling to get my foot on the ladder of a social life as i dont want to go out & about on my own, far too shy (& sensible) to go to a pub on my own. Once iv made a couple of friends then im sure i will make loads more, its just getting over that initial barrier!

Well there's next weekends thing at the railway? Admittedly you still won't know anyone til you get there, but certainly the people I know from here are a very friendly bunch.

I've just joined too yay it's not that scary

Mr Sofa's right about the Joxer Brady's crowd though...you won't find a friendlier place in town, they all made me feel welcome and stuff when i moved back to Stafford last year and it's been grrrreat and since then I co-run the Jam nights at joxers every other thursday with Sofa which is fab!

So welcome to the ford 'n' the forum

Stafford's a wonderful place to be, I've been here all my life (27 years). I'm sure there's plenty of people on here that will be happy to introduce you to Stafford!

Although I've not been on here too long, this forum seems pretty cool too. :cool:

Hip hip hooray! I've got my internet back after Titscali ruined my life momentarily! Hi Lisa, nice one for getting on the Forum....I appreciate what you say about the weather, but the only place i've been to in Bedfordshire is Luton, and i'd suffer arctic conditions for the sake of being a safe distance from there! Soz if you're a Lutonian :)

should be able to. Possibly not dead on 5pm, as im working in the day & have to walk the dog once iv finished, but def by about 6-630ish.
