Homebase is Closing

Flooring is 70% - but very little left.

Incidentally there are no cable ties either which is what I needed when I was up that end of town.

Its wallpaper & paint that I'm after - sadly there's not many matching rolls of wallpaper & the paints hardly reduced either & neither are the blinds or curtains.....infact, all the things I would like don't have very good reductions at all!

We got 40% off the dulux hard wearing emulsion.... Very happy

Final week Everyting must go

It was really strange walking across the *empty & locked car-park this morning....the lights are on inside & there's maybe a couple of people stripping stuff out inside the building - I had thought there would be a massive team in there getting it ready for The Range.....but no.

I also noticed that the old 'Dreams' is being painted & decorated now. I'm still taking bets on what it will be. Husband insists that Dreams have taken back over the lease (also that the staff have already been employed & had their training, they were supposed to open the week before Christmas but were delayed with the refurbishment of another store) but who knows.....somethings definatly going in there though.


*years ago I had a lady driving instructor that used to get me to drive & park on Homebase (Focus) car park all the time......so that she could point out all the people who arrived in separate cars & then would park up the back end where other people would get in their cars....she insisted that they were all having affairs....

They've moved

They pull up on the temporary road next to Seighford airfield. The one where they make learning lorry drivers squeeze passed you

I've often leafleted them with lawyers for yow materials. Even if you stick the leaflet under the wipers they still carry on canoodling

It does seem likely that Dreams have re leased the building, otherwise when farmfoods opened, they'd have taken the dreams signs down n put the farmfoods ones in their place. Leaving them up seems to suggest that Dreams or the holding company that owns the old Dreams company still own the lease to the building.

It is Dreams, I spoke to the painter today.

They should of taken that sign down though, they are no longer a PLC.
