One critisism I would make is that it would be nice to have a spell checker function as my spelling is awful.
Spell-checking is typically a function of one's own computer, rather than individual web sites. I know Apple's Safari has a spell-checker built in, and I suspect that Mozilla Firefox also has relevant plug-ins to help the orthographically challenged! :)

Glad to see some new users contributing to this thread. It's always nice to know how you found us, and a little bit of back-story :D

Lived in Stafford for most of my younger life and still have family there so just came across the site by chance. Think I did a search which brought up something about the brine baths, so as I had a contribution, I signed up ;)

Excellent. You know what goes on, then.

It normally seems to fall to me to explain 'mystery posts', but that one is beyond my powers, sorry.

It may be a Simpsons reference, but I'm not a full afficionado.

Actually, I assumed that gk knew you and was being playful - shows that even I can be wrong sometimes...

Apologies.... my post was in response to Admin in post #65 where he lists the new users....

One of them appears to be called Peanut Head which I found rather amusing...

Nothing to see here, move along :)

Hi everyone! I'm here to stay and hope to have some banter as well as pass on/take in some local knowledge.
You might find some of my humour a bit random, I'm a big Harry hill fan!

?
Usually by the reaction from people who can't be arsed to think of an answer that isn't staring them on the face!

As my mate Harry would say "If it's too hard, I can't understand it!"
