Yes, after smoking over 40 a day I had hypnosis in 1979 and it worked. Haven't touched one since. The bloke I had has long gone though, so can't recommend anyone to you. I had 'suggestive hypnosis' and was still aware of what was going on, and could have got myself out of it at anytime.Has anyone tried this? If so would you recommend it? And would you recommend a particular (local if possible) practitioner?
Does it help in losing weight too?Does hypnosis work on posting on forums

And, don't have an opened bag of Revels (other sweets are available) in your knicker drawer next to yr puta! There is a better method
Only shop after you have eaten a full meal
Never have snacks on show in the house/place of work
If at a place where food is on show always sit at least 1.2 meters away
( take a tape measure )

I find this fascinating! Don't you get any cravings at all? I still sometimes do, mostly if I see someone smoking in a car (which is really weird as I never smoked in the car!) but the smell isn't appealing anymore - fortunately the husband goes outside for a fag - & now the smell reminds me of rotting old potatoesYes, after smoking over 40 a day I had hypnosis in 1979 and it worked. I was so convinced it wasn't going to work that I bought a packet of 20 B&H from the machine at work as I'd run out just before I went in my lunch hour ( I was chain smoking at work in those days, like the rest of my office). Thinking he might get me to crush them , took them all out except for a couple and left them in my desk before I went. Sure enough he told me to hand over the packet if I had truly stopped smoking, and me thinking "Ha ha, got another 16 back at work".... ...Got back in to my car and couldn't stand the smell as it reeked of the one I'd smoked driving there. Haven't been able to stand the smell of smoke ever since, and gave those remaining ones away to a work colleague
I started putting the money that I would have been spending on them away each day in a jar. Paid for a holiday !
Good luck in giving up
I don't get any cravings, infact didn't have any straight after either. The thought of smoking after getting back into the car that day and feeling sick with it reeking of smoke put me off even trying one again (part of the treatment was "You will feel sick if you have a cigarette" . Didn't mention feeling sick when just the smelling it though.) Can't stand it now when people walk past with one.I find this fascinating! Don't you get any cravings at all? Can't be many occasions when a pint of Carling serves as an incentive for anything!I stopped for a bet, won a pint of carling. I think I'd already realised I had no reason to smoke though so the battle was half won before I started.
