Mr Salt’s injuries were horrific. I am not exaggerating when I say he could easily have died. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

...so instead of prison he gets 32 months in a soft-as-shite playstation equipped hyper expensive young offender's facility.

That's justice for you!

Udall, aged 20, of Wellington Road, Bilston was given nine months young offender custody after admitting common assault and affray.
So, 4 1/2 months for punching someone who was on the other side of the road in the face for literally no reason. Good start.

In addition, he was curfewed for three months
And I bet he's really really scared

and ordered to pay £100 compensation to Mr Terry Kibble and £300 costs.
Which the jobless worthless piece of s**t will never ever pay back. My brother got assaulted once and awarded £300 in £10 instalments from the guy's dole. Suffice to say 8 years later it has never materialised.

The justice system in this country is a full on joke. Balls to the woolly mitten brigade, these people probably have to capacity to change but I sure as hell couldn't give a monkey's and am not willing to pay for it. They admitted the crime, they should be hung publicly along with their parents who clearly did a spectacular job raising them.

What an absolute fookin joke, really makes you wonder what the point in a court system is at all. I just hope a few people 'have words' when the gobshites get out, after all the tossers put enough info on their facebooks to make them easily traceable on release.

You have no idea how much I'm hoping they get arse raped while inside, but they've not even been sent to a real prison FFS :(

It always strikes me as odd that, in this sort of case, no regard is taken of the NHS costs, which I would presume to have been quite significant, and probably on-going....

Cleared!

As for the NHS cost, what is the point? Saddle them with a massive fine, then they just don't work so don't have to pay it off. Just sponge off the taxpayers, if anything it'd give them a reason to never get a job. Sod money at all, make it an eye for an eye. Give the victim a baseball bat and chain the tossers to chairs. Give him free reign for a bit, if they live then we'll be nice and take them to a hospital.

Hmm, seems a good idea to me. However I'd say pay them a normal wage, but not to them. Use it to pay off their debt, and don't let them leave prison til its paid. Seems a great idea, no more 6 years so out in 3, it'd be 6 years or til you've repaid what you owe.

"As Mr Salt lay bleeding in the road, a Good Samaritan passer-by, was threatened by the defendants to “leave him alone”, but Mr Leslie Hewitt still went to give assistance."

If anybody knows Mr Leslie Hewitt, I hope they buy him a pint.

Would you still think that if you owned a factory next to a prison making the same stuff?. The scheme has its detractors...

This goes back to the getting dole bludgers to do useful work debate. It'd have to be something so labour intensive that we don't do it here, and instead import from abroad. No idea what off the top of my head, but a look at our top manufactured imports should offer some clues.

The whole things a joke, we wait 9 months and then this....

We were meant to be offering witness statements but were really happy when they all pleaded guilty...however now it seems that may be misplaced. What are the odds on Udall being told he's already served that time since the incident? 100 hours community service, not bad for someone that no doubt hasn't got a job while he's AWOL.

As for Poxton, I wonder if theres an ounce of remorse in his whole body for what he did? I may be wrong but "Young Offender Custody" doesn't sound very scary for a 20yr old. There is no excuse for him not having to mix it with the big boys...especially as his victim was an adult.....

Fuming.....rant over.

Let us hope for an appeal

And now the case can be properly reported, perhaps highlight the sentence to the PM and Government

It would appear that judges/magistrates are under new instruction - 64 months being the exact same sentence in another Stafford Crown Court case -

Conservative Minister Ken Clarke is well known for his views on short or no gaol terms

Well spotted. Unlikely to be a pure co-incidence, surely. I wonder how they'll cope?..

"The site explains the procedures to be followed if you have a complaint about a judicial office holder's personal conduct."

Like, if they leave your brothel without paying, for example..

Gone2Seed's post about his fall a while back made me think about this case... does anyone know the guy who was beaten up - did he make a full recovery?
