Spent 4 hours in the Market Vaults yesterday talking to forumites about the book and other town history. Very jovial, the real ale does help, and a choice of 5 was excellent. Décor much improved and was pretty much full when I left at 8pm, looks like being a successful refit.

Not that I'd know you but I got there just after 8 and left after midnight. Great sets by Ryan Cleary and Dan Walsh and the place was really busy all night. As the night grew on the place grew iwth what you'd describe as a community feel. Lots knowing each other, banter flowing and music rocking. Long may it continue.

Just received the proofs of the book, there has been a couple of things that created a delay. I have to check every word on every page etc, a bit painstaking but nice to see it presented how I wrote it. Anyway the publisher has changed the official publishing date to November 1, but I should have books myself in mid October, it all depends on me at the moment. Must crack on

What a nightmare doing proof checking, nearly need a degree in hieroglyphics trying to understand proof marks. Anyway, I will be at the Luckpenny on Thursday 3 October at the pub of the month CAMRA presentation. Come and have a chat.
