Apparently it won't allow images to be backed up at all.
Might be worth me looking at it for you. If you cant back images up at all, it could be anything from a faulty sync cable to a bad iTunes install, or a faulty charge port that the cable connects to in the base of the phone (sometimes they still charge but don't work for data transfer)

To be honest this happened alot when I used giffgaff (o2) - but I found that in 99% of cases the message had indeed actually sent successfully. Since switching to Plusnet Mobile (EE) it rarely seems to happen at all. I suspect this may be more of a network issue rather than your phone. Are you sure it's failing as a text in all cases? If you're mobile data is switched off and your away from home (so no wifi) then imessages will automatically fail after so many retries.
imessage always works . It's just the standard text that I'm having problems with . I just can't seem to text phones that aren't iPhone. It's not a massive problem but it's bloody annoying. Like u say it does seem to be a network problem but this is the only network I seem to get signal with in my area, so will stick it out

@Alee the only other suggestion I can make is to definitely update your iPhone software if you haven't been doing so lately. Also check for a carrier settings update by going into Settings / General / About. If one is available it will show up in there.
