Italian Restaurant - Vivere

Goldilox

How do I edit this?
One thing I've missed since I hit Stafford is a decent Italian restaurant (no offence to pizza express - it does what it says on the tin, except the one in Stafford always seems under-staffed). Walking back from Lidl, the establishment formerly known as the Rose of Kashmir on the Stone Road has a sign up saying 'Vivare Restauranto Italiano'.

Interestingly though the license is still in the name of the same guy who had it when it was the Rose and now runs the monster Ashiana at the Reynold's centre.

So, good news?

I love a good Italian nosh up, but I have to say that having dined in more than my fair share of genuine Italian run restaurants I don't take kindly to the "Bella Whatevertheycallthemselves" style impostors. Having said that, I did eat pizza most days for two years which had been made by an Indian chap and it was delicious every time... But that wasn't in England.

As long as it has red gingham table clths, tinned antipasto and dribbley candels in chianti bottles I'll be happy.

Mmmmmmmm...I'd love to go. Have heard a few rumblings about its opening but not heard from anyone who's been yet. I'm gonna have to leave a visit til January unfortunately, what with 30th bdays and Xmas meals etc over the next few weeks. Does anyone know what it's called and whether they have a website or not?

I know its not really a true 'restaurant' but hope this helps you all

No T&C's by looks of it so I would say print as many as you want and pay seperately!

I mentioned in another thread last week that the one on Foregate had opened. Not been in yet, looks nice enough though. Will give it a go soon :)

Heard a few really good reports about this place so far (the old Rose of Kashmir, not F&B's), as well as finding out that it's owned by the same people who have Romance takeaway on the Wolverhampton Road. Excellent news...always been very satisfied with food from there.

Romance is fantatsic by takeaway standards, I just wish they would do bigger pizza's, they're pizza is easily the best in town (apart from Mrs Shoes's home made nosh - she's half italian and my goodness it shows, there are NEVER leftovers lol)
