I'm looking for work, but won't be going down Grapes Corner or to fookin' Brighthouse, unless I get a hell of a lot more desperate!Plenty of jobs for hookers on grapes corner, its tax free too!
At the end of the day a job is a job. Better than sitting on your arse and scrounging off the state.

Accepted, but if you have paid tax for nearly thirty years, I think you are entitled to a bit of gardening leave! It ain't exactly 'scrounging', more a pot you have already paid into, are temporarily getting somat out of it, before, hopefully, paying in again! Of course depending on your partners income, you might only get Job Seekers Allowance for 6 months from the start of your claim, so that may be quite an insentive to 'get on your bike', stop being a 'scrounger', and find work, PDQ, preferably before you even make a f*%$!+g claim, IMHO of course ! And grumpystaffordguy you've nicked my monikor, I AM THE GRUMPY ONE! At least you are from the best end of town! Holmcroft, and ST16 ! though I am temporarily burdened with an inferior post code!
FTFYYou only get lots of benefits if you have never worked and have no intention of working. Or at least that is how it appeared to Paul Dacre.
