Damnit, thought the lidl job was 40 hours a week!

EDIT: B&Q one is PT/temp too, so not worth leaving another job for.

EDIT2: Sorry, not knocking your post! Its very useful, just that my brother is already in a part time job but wants a better (preferably full time) one. Virtually no shops offer full time positions anymore though :(

Ahh it is okay dont worry. Just thought i'd post some 'real' jobs that may benefit people in the local area and not have to search through most of the crap thats on those job sites.

Thanks a lot for posting :) very nice of you @ tek why can't he get 2 part time jobs- bit more awkward i know, and you can't exactly do that in retail as you have to be flexible.. that's the bad thing about retail jobs, most of them want you to be flexible, so you can't really get another job and left with a part time - job better than no job though!!

Quite a lot of jobs seem to be part time, apart from ones you have to have a qualification in.

Well strange as it seems the hours of work at Home Bargains for shop floor staff is 'You stay til its done, if you are VERY lucky you may even be allowed a break". As they change delivery sizes daily you have absolutely no clue what time you will finish that day, and they don't change staff numbers for days when they expect a large delivery. Yesterday for example they worked 7am til 5pm, today they'll probably only do 7-11 but they don't actually know that.

Who else will hire you with those working patterns? Hence him needing a full time job, but like you say any job is better than none and at least with this one he gets better money than a straight 16 hours a week position.

Thanks for that, though it says go on Lidls site to apply and there is zilch listed for staffs right now that I can see. D: will keep checking back.

Doh! It's listed as Lutterworth. Applied. Wish me luck!
