I told you I'd be pimping this place, and apparently it's paying off :)

Just think - if we can achieve 4th place in a week, where will we be in a month? First stop Stafford, next stop - The World :uk:

Out of interest, if a bar was to open in stafford by someone who knows how to run one successfully, what pray tell would you want from said bar?

    this is too polarised, imo..

for a start, those two things are very subjective.. in fact, i'll wager that what most of the "no chav" brigade would consider "good music" i would abjectly hate, along with most of the other potential clientele..

you have to remember, in order for somewhere to actually be successful, you have to consider your potential target audience and cater in some way for them.. i think everyone would agree that we don't need another newt & cucumber/zanzibar/etc, but a strict no chav & mandatory pretentious music policy is a sure fire recipe for disaster..

i think a place with a relaxed dress code & wide music policy would be a start.. then maybe you could hand out tickets for the opening week, asking people to fill in the back to get a free drink.. on the back you could ask their favourite band/act of the moment, and their favourite tune of the moment.. at least then people would fill it in, and over a couple of weeks you could get a feel for what kind of crowd you're attracting..

edit: wait, am i too drunk to be posting on the forum?
