Just been reading this, you seen her attempts to backtrack? She's said this:

I’m sure if the computers of all MPs - including Labour ones, were investigated there would be a record of porn being accessed. There would, in all cases, be zero proof of who it was who accessed it.

So she's saying that either all MPs watch porn at work and the IT system is crap, or they all give out their personal logins to staff who then watch porn?

To be fair to her, she is just an idiot who has got on through bluffing it out and never even admitting things to herself, but this is a bit 'special', even by her low standards..

Also, why is Twitter giving her a Verified Account, if almost anybody can have a go on it?

Maybe because Twatter is as shit as the House of Commons IT system is if it can't block porn.
You can't block porn, its impossible. You can severely limit it, but never block it. Thats why IT policy nearly always states that viewing porn on a works computer is a sackable offence, also that sharing your login is a sackable offence, so saying the porn isn't yours because you share your login doesn't get you off.

Any person in the real world with a real job who did what she claims to have done would be "collecting their personal belongings"...

You are assuming the HoC has an IT policy.

Remember it's only a few years ago they still had a free-for-all on expenses and, arguably, things aren't much better now.

This guy knows.

I tweeted as much a few days ago. It's certainly a disciplinary issue, and may be sackable. Porn is one issue, but more importantly, there's also the issue of the sites that were being accessed and the risk of introducing a virus to the network.

At the end of the day, it's not "your" computer, it's the company's, but you do have a responsibility for what goes on on that computer. Hey, you should have signed a computer misuse policy document which has you bang to rights if you misbehave. If you do have to allow a colleague to use your computer, then they should use their own ID and password rather than yours.

And it doesn't sound like the cops have handled the issue in the correct manner either. They should have reported their finding of porn to whoever was responsible for the HoC's computers and let them deal with it. It may have been outside the scope of what the cops were called in to do, but they'd not be thanked if there had been a virus infection and they'd kept their finding of porn and access to dodgy websites to themselves.

This exchange is quite amusing.

"Blocking porn" is a never-ending target - a lot of people just end up like the school that couldn't book pantomime tickets because that year's show was Dick Whittington...

..and it wasn't even in Scunthorpe..

Reminds me of the time when most things about English cricket were blocked on some sites because they contained such English peculiarities as Middlesex*, Essex & Sussex. Articles about Barbara Cartland also got blocked if they included pictures of her, she always wore pink and the bowdler software of the time took large areas of pink in a picture as being naked bodies ...

*So does my spill chucker which doesn't like Middlesex bur is offering the alternatives of "Middle sex" or "Middle-sex"

After giving this much thought, I have come to the conclusion that Arlene Foster is probably the most nasty, malignant politician, I have ever seen.
