Leave or Remain?

I'm quite willing to second the fourth point being one with a degree of experience in the subject. Or at least the reverse of the subject .. as I don't really drink enough. :heyhey:

Is the vote of no confidence in the tories or May? If it's in the tories thats stupid, they won't vote themselves out of power. If it's in May didn't we do this last month?

The recent confident vote that May won was the Tories voting on their confidence in her as the Tory party leader, she won that and they can't trigger a repeat of that for a year. So, unless she resigns as Tory leader, they are stuck with her until then.

The impending confidence vote today is a vote about whether the House of Commons has confidence in the current Tory government. Most of the people that voted against her main (only?) policy yesterday will vote for her government today. They do not want to take the risk of a General Election.

It's all just posturing whilst the place continues to fall apart.

But it is amusing the rest of the world.

Its a vote of no confidence in the Tories this time.
The last vote was a vote of no confidence in the PM .

yes , complete waste of time if im honest .
The DUP have already said they would vote with the government so even if everyone else voted against the government , they would still need another 13 votes at least.

Still , it adds something else to the history books for her and her rotten government.

Right, its time everyone stopped moaning and this is why:

Remainers
  • You lost the referendum, get over it, you lost.

Leavers
  • You voted to leave and take back control.
  • You have already exercised that control and voted for a bunch of remain MPs in the subsequent General Election. Strange, but that's what you voted for.
  • The Government you elected has given a vote of confidence in its leader and, now, it has won a vote of confidence in Parliament tonight. It has, by proxy, now got your 'vote' to deliver the 'Brexit' you deserve.
