I'm liking the later opening hours....I've just (8.30pm) been on a Gin run, & Lidl was completely empty apart from one other customer - my kind of shopping :)

After eight in Lidl is just how it used to be in the evening before "everybody else" discovered it - I have considered taking the "new opening hours" banner down...

They're digging up the middle of Lidl car park, I'm not sure why, but a good few spaces are blocked off which is causing major chaos on what seems to be pension day....

The front or the side car park?

The side one seems likely to be mutilated by the WAR.

Sorry, middle of the front car park. There's a couple of mini diggers, piles of bricks, lots of metal fencing & red tape - maybe they're digging up the mini-trees & the raised area to the left (when facing Lidl) in the hope of gaining a space or two before the side parking is lost to the WAR?

Mmm, I just had a look - it does seem a bit odd, it's not clear what the point is.

They have done quite a bit of work around the site in recent months, mostly out-of-sight - a whole new cooling system and renovation of the delivery access, amongst other things.

I had to go back later in the day, all the seem to of done was to pave the small raised area with some black bricks.....I'm not sure why they need 2 diggers for that?!

It does look like that is the idea - those "flower beds" have suffered badly from Day 1 - they get driven over and churned up - they did have big rocks on for a while (now stored round the back*), but people just kept hitting them as well.

* with the blue posts that got knocked down.

I did see the Pied Piper trying to coax the ducks back to the river, as they had made a concerted effort to get into the shop.

I noticed earlier, whilst buying gin & shoeing ducks, that from the 1st July - Lidl will be open till 10pm!
I do hope you really were and weren't just shooing them off.
