I *almost* didn't go this year after my 'disgraceful' behavior last year...

I have promised the OH I will be on my bestiest!

Hmmmm....

I didn't go last year after the disgraceful behaviour of others over the last few years. 2014 was the worst I've been to, with drunken youths fighting and being generally lairy, and a sea of litter....despite plenty of bins dotted around!

Very unlikely I'll bother this year.

I'm quietly excited about having a year off from the festival this year - off to the teddy bear's picnic at Issac Walton's cottage since we have an age appropriaet small person.

Otherwise it's a cracking event with excellent live music.

Hi,
Is this an event to bring a 4 years old child? I've never attend this festival... are there going to be fun activities for children? Thanks!

It's not really targeted at children - as @Wormella suggests, the Teddy Bear's picnic might be a better option.

The acoustic stage is reasonably civilised, but it's really just about the music - a pleasant enough event if you leave (as you would anyway with a 4 y.o.) before the case of Carling kicks in...

I've never been. Is this a free "just turn up" event then? Might have to drag our tribe up there if so even if it's just for the earlier hours.

Yes it's £3 pp. If you come by car it is £5 to park it.

It used to be free for both of these things but now it is not. There are reasons for this.
