Oh yes, perfectly legal. There is a disabled parking space at the side then it's just up a ramp to get in. Nearest space to the market square branch is quite a way away though, either at the side of the old Marks and Spencer, if there is a space, or along Salter Street, which is very rarely clear. Is that even legal?
I was aware of the Costa but not the McD up by the Knot and Plough. I don't think they have made any applications and I would imagine there may be pressure on them not to open there given the proximity to the Academy School on Weston Road....I have been told that McDonalds are opening a branch by the Knot and Plough pub. Also alleged to be opening there is a Costa Coffee with a drive-thru.
Yeah it is close but it seems like The Hough McDonalds isn't happening so it wouldn't surprise me if this is true.I was aware of the Costa but not the McD up by the Knot and Plough. They still have a year of the original 3 years given when planning was accepted to make a start on it....Yeah it is close but it seems like The Hough McDonalds isn't happening so it wouldn't surprise me if this is true.

Being close to primary schools is less of an issue as primary chiidren tend not to leave the school premises at lunchtime, and are often escorted in the mornings and after school by parents, who would steer them away from McDonald's. Secondary school children are often free to leave the premises at lunchtime and so would spend their dinner money at McDonald's.But surely a mcdonads on the hough would be super close the 3 primary schools and I don't remember it coming up on any objections.
Yes, irony.Ironically, it is the failings of Stafford which kept the branch open, rather than caused its closure.
...because... it was inevitable it would close, as I said at the start of this thread.
?Those heady days are long gone...

This is no ordinary town. This is Stafford. Chav Central. No shops, but plenty of places to fill your body with crap and show off your latest B&M stores and Primark purchases.Who is it that eats all this junk food and drinks all these coffees, I mean, how many fast food outlets can one town support

You are fighting a losing battle if you think he will ever be any different.I take it you are not Stafford born and bred? If not of all the towns... why did you come here? If you were born here, then why are you still here? Questions I'd be asking myself if I hated a place so much. You want change, make it happen! Stafford doesn't benefit from all of your negative comments. Haven't you anything more interesting to say? is there anything you are ever positive about? It must be exhausting spending all your energy being so negative, try to look for some positivity you never know you might like it.
That's a @John Marwood avatar if ever I saw one!! x
