No I don't suppose it does make a difference but I found the news surprising & felt it would be of interest on a forum dedicated to local issues.
Given you're the only person to reply in a week, I can only conclude I was wrong in that assessment.
The 'does it make a difference' comment was more of a general question to everyone out there rather than one directed at yourself - was also a bit surprised there was no other mention of it .
But you're right, the parole service had to put him somewhere when he was released on license & Stafford in its unremarkableness, seems like a reasonable choice.
