Yes, either 'Stafford Love Music Hate Racism' ('Stafford LMHR') or 'Love Music Hate Racism Stafford' ('LMHR Stafford'). Probably the first one. I will toss a coin once the Gatehouse is confirmed... =)

you're already on myspaz, innit? maybe it won't let you sign up twice.. try using a different email address/personal details..

That was my first thought, so I've tried it with a different email address (one that I set up especially for the occasion).

I don't think it would be due to personal details (surely there must be another person with the same gender and birth date as me in this town!) as I used a different post code, although it may be that it's not residential (used the Gatehouse's as that's where it's going to be) - but I wouldn't have thought it was clever enough to know the difference or even care...

I'm stumped. No doubt I'll try again sometime to find that it mysteriously works...

still haven't got round to doing the myspace/facebook things? is it worth getting someone else on board, who's good at that sort of malarky? myspace pages look awful if they're not done right, and the facebook page could do with a professional looking edge as well..

not dissing your content-creation skillz! just saying it might make it easier on yourself and have a more polished finished product if you get some help, innit

I've sussed it! I used IE instead of Firefox and it worked... myspace.com/staffordlmhr - nothing on there yet, will be working on the content and the facebook thing over the weekend.

Which is preferred: 'Stafford Forum' or 'staffordforum.com'? (I am thinking staffordforum.com as it directs people to the forum rather than just naming it.)

oh god, i wasn't offering my own services! i hate myspaz, and my "mad skillz" are probably on par with your own - which is why i was saying if i was doing a myspace page for a serious endeavour like this, i would enlist the help of someone who knows what they're doing.. otherwise it will just end up looking like a web page straight out of 1995 - like 98% of all the other myspace pages lol..

i definitely think Stafford Forum should appear on there prominently.. remember the users of this fair forum have coughed up £50 for this!

I whole-heartedly agree...although the marketing materials are yet to be produced, it does seem as though the Forum will receive scant attention considering the generous donation.

On top of this, the offer of a direct mailing of the official flyer to all 507 registered members is invaluable. If there are only 100ish tickets available then this is a prime free marketing opportunity! Getting the myspace page and flyers/posters looking good and being interesting/informative is very important...i'm sure there are plenty of people on here who are very experienced myspacers, and some of those may be very willing to offer their services to make this look like a professional event.

yeah, i think that's probably why me & andreas seem to have ants in our pants.. because updates in this thread have been thin on the ground, and because it's taking so long to even get the myspaz/facebook off the ground, i guess to an outsider it looks like nothing is actually being done! i'm sure this isn't the case..

andreas has spoken to sofa and he's happy with the progress being made as well

Lol...that wasn't in reference to your myspace page, cos i've only just looked at it! I'm sure the best efforts will be made to get the event looking and running well, just suggesting that there may be some friendly folk around here who can get things going quickly and easily, to ensure that it gets maximum publicity and looks the mutt's nuts..

I purposely started the ball rolling early because I like things done well, and sometimes I find it difficult to get things done - mainly because I'm a lazy procrastinator (hangover from being a student), but I'm sure the mental health issues (not severe, although my moods can be!) don't help either...
