Have just added that to 'My Favourites' much easier to navigate around than Keep Moving.
Have a point on me Lucy.

Anyone know why it was closed southbound just north of Warrington on Saturday night, around 11pm? Was driving home from Liverpool and was stuck four rows back form the police car stopping the traffic for an hour whilst they turned everyone around, but with no actual reason I could see.

Whereabouts? what time? I had a very quick run down to Bromsgrove, got on M6 about 7.00 ish and apart from about 5 mins delay round J10 (normally lots slower) very little congestion.

its those red kites, they lift them up from our field by the castle and dump them on the motorway, they wont be told

South of J16. Took over an hour to get back from Crewe. I left at about 7.45.
I work in Crewe, and use the A51 as an alternative route if the M6 is blocked.

If I'd known I'd have gone down the A500 through Stoke, but by the time your on the slip road its too late.

I know the M6 south of us has planned overnight closures this weekend from J11-7,but does anyone know of any planned M6/M56 overnight closures this weekend on the way up to Manchester Airport?

I can't see anything mentioned on the traffic sites, but there again I can't see it mentioned about the West Midlands closure.
(Only found out about that when the free express & star came)

Any info gratefully received :) (Got stuck in a 1 hour traffic jam on the M6 last summer going to B'ham airport at 2.30am! :o )

As there was hardly any traffic about we thought the 'Queues ahead' sign had been left on in error from an earlier incident! Went around a bend to find 3 lines of stationery traffic.....good job we had left an hour earlier in case of punctures/breakdowns etc , but it was still panic stations!
