Mac Upgrade Help?

Hey,

You may remember I posted agess ago about upgrading a macbook....

I have purchased the mac book and have upgraded the ram all going well!

Now its time for HD upgrade I have acquired from a friend a 320gb 7200rpm drive.

So my questions........

Is it ok to use a 7200rpm drive in a macbook??? ever been done???

Also I dont have snow leopard on disk can it be purchased?? downloaded?? cheap!!!
