please tell me the sun front page isnt real? im really hoping its just a mock up.

i was out on the lash last night when one of my mates got a text saying he was dead- a bit of i-phone action later we had it confirmed by sky and the bbc that he was in hospital.

it is sad news and i feel for his kids and his family...but i have to admit, there are more important things to worry about.

had two waiting as soon as I turned the phone on this morning.

i don't think even the sun could get away with "celebrity paedophile" lol..

i was on the internet when the news broke, and ended up watching various news streams about it until about 00:30.. really couldn't believe it, i kept thinking it was an elaborate internet prank!

all the radio stations have been playing loads of his tunes today in tribute, so for once the radio hasn't been making me want to stab pencils in my ears :bananafunk:

LOL! I know what you mean - he may not be your favourite, but his stuff beats the usual crap they play!

I found out at about 7:30am when I was woken by my dad's text about it being all over the news - it took me a few seconds for it to sink in and realise it wasn't some kind of joke and I felt compelled to watch BBC News 24 for a good few hours this morning.

he was only 50, bless him.. i have to admit, i am morbidly curious to find out the reasons behind his heart attack.. it could be natural causes, but as we all know things are rarely that simple with michael jackson :/

I thought my son was telling me a joke at 7.00 this morning. 'Mum, did you hear Michael Jacksons Dead', 'go on' I said. 'No, that's it, he's dead'. I was still waiting for a punch line, I really couldn't beleive he was dead. After a day of constant news about it, I beleive it now but surely there are other important bits of news just or even more as important. Having said that, when it is somebody as famous as him you do tend to feel a little like a member of your family has died, even if you weren't his biggest fan. I beleive that there is at least one Jackson song that every person likes. Willingly or not.

I can't remember what the subject was between my husband and me but it got around to all the surgery that MJ had undertaken and I mentioned that he wasn't a bad looking guy, why did he have to have all that surgery especially to make him look white. My 8 year old son pipes up in surprise 'WHAT?, Michael Jackson is black! :rofl:

lol, one of my mates i was out with decided to tell some lass outside having a cig and she just looked at him like scum. i think she thought it was a really bad attempt to chat her up by telling her a joke! poor lad, he looked mortified! :rofl:

i suppose if youre only familiar with the michael jackson of the last few years, you would never say that the good looking young black kid in the flares could ever even be related to the ghostly freak he had become- let alone even the same person.

same here. his doctor is being interviewed as a witness re: the prescription drugs that he was taking. that will be interesting.

thing is though, you so know that if any post mortem images are leaked, there will be headlines along the lines of the national enquirer "alien autopsy exclusive!"

Well no images, but some details have been. Lots of needle marks it seems, so sustained use. Oh, and he was bald, but I think many suspected that hair wasn't real.
