Is the B&M in Queens still open? And if so, do they intend to close it? Always found it very ram-packed in there, it outgrew the premises a long time ago

No, I suspect as with Home Bargains etc it does them no harm to have 2 sites really quite far away from each other with different economic ecosystems.

The one on Queens seemed to be frantically selling everything off last week. I thought they were moving because their lease at Queens was due for renewal and they didn't like the increase in rent.

I understand B&M's Kingsmead store is opening this Saturday (26th).

Let's hope the car park is opening as well.

Which panto and which pirate - could be this one
Ching Shih is not only the most successful of all female pirates, she is also the most fascinating. She gained equality to her husband, the pirate Cheng and took over his operation upon his demise. She ordained her husband’s second-in-command, her adopted son, Cheung Po Tsai, the captain of her fleet (which equaled that of all the other most successful pirates combined). Beautiful and a former prostitute, Captain Sao controlled more than 1,500 ships with 80,000 men, and robbed and taxed towns, plundering ships along the coast of the South China Sea, all the while enforcing a strict code of conduct upon her men. She also married her adopted son, Chang Pao. When the Chinese government offered her universal pirate amnesty in exchange for peace, she accepted. Her pirates, on the other hand, were able to keep their riches and were given military jobs. She lived out her 69 years in charge of a casino and brothel with her husband.

Don't you think it looks a bit poor by putting signage over windows and having a grand entrance on the right hand side of the building where the canopy is, yet it looks like they've knocked a hole in the wall halfway down to create an entrance for B+M and another for the other store.

The signage on the back of the store where the deliveries are, looks tatty as well. It just looks like a poster stuck on the back wall.
