Multi-Forumite birthday goodness!!

Hold onto your seats peeps…this is gonna be a biggie!

April sees the turning of age of quite a few Forumites, as well as others who are yet to sample the delights of the Forum. For some (rich upsetter, achildrasputin, tom hobbins) it’s an extra special birthday, as they’re turning the big 30. For others (me, dirtybobby, ricky p, rich upsetter’s cousin lucy, achildrasputin’s bro nick) it’s not a significant age, but cause for celebration nevertheless!

The plan is to hire a venue (suggestions so far have included Oddfellows Hall on the main street, the MRI club, Stafford Rangers, Universal…), which would hold about 250 people. There will be a couple of bands on from early evening, followed by some quality DJs Fancy dress is a certainty. The date me and rich have come up with is Saturday 28th April. This is a very recently conceived plan, so the reason for this thread is so that people can suggest ideas. All Forumites are invited, but we really need to get a good idea of numbers etc so that we can get a place booked.

I’m sure nearly everyone here has been to a party or function of some description in the Ford over the last year, so any info about capacity/prices/other stuff would be much appreciated!

early suggestions, that dont require too much effort on peoples parts is to have it school uniform, but with your old school tie/uniform whatever that used to be. Thus keeping it a bit 'stafford'. well for those that went to school in the ford anyhoo.

Yes fancy dress is mandatory...we've not decided whether to do a theme or just leave it open, so you have plenty of scope...

but i can only wear school uniform if someone can lend me a tie.

we were exempt in the 5th year when they introduced ties for girlies at walton...something to do with only beign there for a few months before getting the longest summer holiday ever!
